Sup Dawg, I Heard You Like Dreams...

This morning at around 6:30 I was awakened to the noise of construction going on in my sister's bedroom. I was barely able to go back to sleep, but I did, and had an interesting dream. On a side note, the best time to have a lucid dream is when you wake up and go back to sleep, because your brain usually goes back into REM sleep right away.

In my dream, I was laying in bed and I could tell by the lack of sunlight shining in that it was still fairly early in the morning. I got up, went to a drawer to get a pair of shorts out for the day, and I was shocked at how heavy they were. Not only were my regular cargo shorts probably fifty pounds, but they were huge, about the length of a pair of pants, and all the same proportions of normal shorts. As I was wondering what happened to my shorts, I felt something in the pocket, it was my watch. Glad I found it, I looked at the time and the numbers were everywhere on the face. I assumed my mom had put it through the washing machine so understandably I wasn't too happy as that watch was about $350. As I'm typing this, I just realised that I haven't seen my watch since Saturday night when I got really drunk, so I called my friend if it was at her house, and it was. I guess subconsciously I knew I lost my watch, but didn't fully realise it in reality... weird.

So, upset about my watch being broken, I went to my closet to get a shirt and a different pair of pants. Opening my closet revealed the most random array of clothing ever. Every piece of clothing had the funkiest colours known to man, like neon, tie-dye, and traffic cone orange. My dad then came in my room and told me I better hurry up or I'll be late for school, which would indicate that I was still in high school. Not too long after that I woke up, relieved that it was only a dream and that my watch wasn't broken.

Then I woke up again in real life, and realised I had a dream within a dream...
